Plus, it is also a place with handmade accessories vendors, cute stores, snack shops, vintage restaurants, and last but not least, you may see a busker!

Day Trip from Taipei to Taichung

Most of my friends already know, and if you don’t know, I am going to tell you now: I am a pure Korean but I am also a Taipei Girl, I was born and raised in Taipei for 18 years. Even though I’ve been living in different countries for years, Taipei, Taiwan is still my hometown. Every time I go back to Taiwan, I stay in my lovely home in Taipei.

On the day, my bestie and I woke up in the early morning, just for taking a day trip to Taichung. We bought the one-way tickets at Taipei Bus Station. It costs about $9 (USD) per person and the ride takes 2-3 hours to get there. We were eating Mos Burger for breakfast while waiting for the bus. Oh, the bus comes, I will catch you later in Taichung! See you 👋

Photo Shooting at Shen Ji New Village

After having lunch at RÊVE Café, my bestie took me to the Shen Ji New Village. It’s not a big place but we took over a hundred photos there. (Believe me, it’s hard to not over! 😝) It was not easy to select the better one among them as well. Here are the photos that I wanna keep for a lifetime and show you guys the most. Wish you can enjoy the photos and be aware that how beautiful this village is!

The point of the day’s outfit is the Two-Tone Denim Slit Long Skirt. I bought this at Shida Night Market a couple of days before this trip. I don’t shop for clothes a lot but I would say this skirt is one of my BEST BUYs. We all know that Denim is one of the classic fashion items of all time, this two-tone denim skirt is made of the front side and the backside of ONE fabric. That is very impressive.

To accentuate the skirt, I matched it with a simple White Sleeveless Chiffon Blouse and Black Cork Wedge Heels. Plus a Mini Exotic Print Bag which I got from the Local Market in Thailand. As for accessories, I chose Silver ones to go with my silver belt buckle. Last but not least, I put on RED lipstick(it matches my red watch!) to add a little bit of sexiness and make the look Chic. 💋

What’s surprising is that my bestie and I wore Matching Outfits: White Top & Denim Bottom on that day coincidentally!!! (No wonder she’s my bestie right?) Before we leave Shen Ji New Village, we took a Polaroid Picture in memory of this Day Trip.

Never Miss the Local Night Market

Taiwan is a Night Market Paradise. What does it mean? It means you can find night markets in every part of Taiwan. Every night market has its feature and local specialty so it’s quite fun to visit each night market in Taiwan. Since we are in Taichung now, it’s a waste to not visit the local night market here. I forgot which night market I went to (Any night market is good in general so you can go wherever you want) but I just wanna show you what I found there: A Giant Gashapon(Capsule Toy Vending Machine)!!! If you are from western countries, I think you should try THIS Gashapon because it’s really rare and it can be a fun experience! 😆 Also, I had Malatang(Spicy Hot Pot) for dinner. I was happy about that because it is one of my favorite street foods! 😋

After dinner, we took the bus back to Taipei. When we got off the bus, it was pretty late, I ran with heels while enduring the pain to catch the last metro train to go back home. We took the first train but we didn’t catch the second train to transfer. 😢 So we took the taxi to go back home in the end.

When we were on the empty metro train, we took some photos of ourselves. We were looking at each other thinking how messy we were after a long day. From early morning to over midnight, this was an around 18 hrs day trip. Yes, I wore the heels for about 18 hrs. If you ask me “Are you OK?”, I will say “I’m not OK” but I don’t regret it because I got those precious photos that I like and that’s enough. 🥰
